</noinclude>The Terran-Compact war was a conflict fought between the Greater Terran Union and the various members of a Federation by the name of the Compact. The war began in the year 2384 and ended in 2399, with a Terran victory.

Prelude:

After the end of the Algan-Terran war, the GTU was in a good position. With an established puppet state, the Palenian Republican States wich served as a buffer zone between the GTU and what would become the Compact.

After the end of the war, the GTU focused on eternal problems and focused on the expansion of its own worlds and wealth. During this time, wich would become known as the happy decades, the GTU´s Outer Rim systems grew into several megalopolises. With even Terra, now being one among equals. The economy flourished and millions of people becam wealhtier than ever before.

But, outside of the borders of the GTU things were changing. In 2365, the Naval Intellgience bureau detected fleet movements on the Paranisti-Terran border. This border had been heavily fortified since the end of the war, however the idea of a new war against the Paranisti sparked concerns as Terran waships departed their normal routes to investigate the strange fleet movements.
